MOSHPIT MONDAY...

just reflecting on one of the few things (aside from your scoot)

that can leave you bloodied and bruised

and still grinning like an idiot.

kicking it off with some boys from our turf.

i pretty much grew up on the back of my old man's shovel

wearing this (before "DOT" was of any concern)

it was made for me by his buddies when i was about five,

cast directly from an old German helmet that one of them wore.

kept me safe on the streets of Queens!
